Deanna Kay Amonds

Deanna Kay (Thompkins) Amonds was called home by her heavenly father on January 14, 2016 in Waldron, Arkansas. Kay was born August 23, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to William L. Thompkins and Thelma L. (Cunningham) Thompkins.

Kay was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and aunt. She was a loving wife of Jimmy Amonds for 32 years. They were married on October 7, 1984. Kay enjoyed camping and fishing. She just enjoyed being outdoors. She especially enjoyed being a grandmother.

Kay leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband Jimmy Amonds, one daughter, Vanessa Amonds and spouse Tamera, two sons: Jimmy Amonds and companion Amber, and Trent Amonds. Nana Kay will forever remain in the hearts of her four precious grandchildren. She also leaves behind her mother, Thelma Thompkins and three sisters: Tawana Redmon and husband Randy, Debbie Fain and husband Dewey, Hona Tanner and companion Gerald Ennis and one brother, Dale Thompkins and wife Wanda. Kay will be missed by all that knew her the many whose lives she impacted, including a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kay was preceded in death by her father, William L. Thomkpins and father-in-law, Fred Amonds.

Kay's life celebration will be at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. George Crump officiating. Interment will follow in the Foster Cemetery near Mena, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Kay's pallbearers will be Steven Fain, Jim Cunningham, Tim Adamson, Gerald Ennis, James Alderman and Leonard Thacker. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Redmon, Dustin Norris, William Redmon, Dewey Fain, Fred Amonds and John Floyd.

Kay's visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
