Harrold Wayne Scott

November 10, 1941 — August 5, 2016

Harrold Wayne Scott, age 74, of Waldron passed away into eternal life on August 5 2016 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Harrold was born November 10,1941 in Parks, Arkansas to Ben Scott and Melba Hawkins Scott.

Harrold graduated from Waldron High School in 1960. Soon afterwards, he married Lottie Lea Bates and joined the Air Force, proudly serving his country for 4 years as an Air Policeman. He was stationed in Las Vegas, Nevada and Alamogordo, New Mexico. After his time in the service, Harrold went to work for General Motors in Arlington, Texas where he made numerous life-long friends before retiring after 30 years. Harrold also was a 32 degree Mason belonging to the Blue Lodge in Mansfield, the Arlington Commandery No. 107 Knights Templar, the Arlington 314 RSM, the Arlington 376 RAM - all in Texas, and the Abou Ben Adhem Shriners in Springfield, MO. as well as the Branson No. 587 AF & AM.

Harrold lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed riding his Harley and especially time spent fishing with his son, Ricky. Harrold was a generous and giving man who loved helping people. Many would seek his wisdom and he readily shared his opinions, offering up advice when he could. He also loved animals, particularly dogs and birds and was a talented dog trainer. Harrold faithfully studied the Bible in great detail throughout his lifetime and enjoyed listening to Biblical scholars.

Harrold leaves behind many loved ones to carry on his legacy which includes his wife of 55 years, Lottie; three children, Pam and her husband, Billy Bell, of Rockwall, TX, Rick Scott of Bremond, TX, and Kim and her husband, Terry Flannigan, of Sikeston, MO; four grandchildren, Brooke Bell Rodgers, Bryce Bell, Blake Flannigan, and Cooper Scott; two precious great grandsons, Landon and Jace Rodgers. Harrold is also survived by his sister Rose Durham of Branson, MO, and half brothers and sisters that he held close to his heart.

We will miss this faithful husband, caring dad, and loyal friend with his words of advice and wisdom, but we will forever cherish our many memories and rejoice knowing that Harrold is in the most wonderful place, with no pain and suffering, surrounded by love. We look forward to reuniting with him again someday.
