Jimmie Lawrence Hale

Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Jimmie Lawrence Hale, of Greenwood, Arkansas, passed from this life, August 3, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born October 10, 1939 in Waldron, Arkansas to Victor Hale and Frances (Wade) Hale. Jim was 74 years, 9 months and 24 days old.

Jim was an electrician by trade until 1984. Then realizing his dream, Jim became a successful thoroughbred horse trainer and owner for 29 years. Jim was a man of great integrity who dealt with everyone fairly and honestly and expected the same in return. In his down time, Jim loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed time with his family and memories made with them were precious to his heart. May he rest in the arms of Jesus until we see him again.

Jim leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 40 years, Betty of the home, one son, James Hale and wife Lorene of Waldron, Arkansas, and one daughter, Gina Pitts and husband Bryan of Tulsa Oklahoma. Papa will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren, Jimmie Lee Hale, Nikita Hale, Austin Hunt, Tyler Pitts, Logan Pitts, and Aaron Pitts. Jim will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including one niece, Lisa Ridenhour and one nephew Billy Joe Hale and many friends and loved ones.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Frances Hale and one brother, Joe Hale.
Jim's life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Rickey Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery in Union Hill, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Jim's pallbearers will be Billy Joe Hale, Wesley Hale, Danny Hale, Rick Black, Tyler Pitts, and Logan Pitts. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Hale, Recil Payton, Wayne Lowe, and Butch Morgan.

Jim's visitation will be Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
