Joe Carl Folsom

MSGT Joe Carl Folsom, United States Army (Retired) came in to this world, October 6, 1940 to Joe Lee and Lela (Caswell) Folsom in Texarkana, Arkansas. GI Joe, as he was fondly called, passed from this life, February 2, 2016 in his home in Waldron, Arkansas. Joe was 75 years, 3
months and 27 days old.

Joe served his country with pride for 27 years. When he had time, Joe enjoyed fishing but he was gifted when it came to researching geneolgy.

Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Stanley Binkley of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Paul Binkley and wife Liane of Van Wert, Ohio and Stephanie Stringer and husband Kenneth of Tampa, Florida. Joe is also survived by two brothers: Art Folsom and wife Carolyn of Van Buren, Arkansas and Floyd Folsom and wife Peggy of Mena, Arkansas. Grandpa Joe will forever remain in the hearts of his 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Joe will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted, including a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Joe and Lela and one sister, Dorothy Cunningham.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
