Joyce F. (Owens) Chrisman

Joyce Fern (Owens) Chrisman of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, September 27, 2016 surrounded by her family. Joyce was born January 20, 1941 in Union Hill Community to Ules and Willo (Parker) Owens. She was a member of the Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church where she served as assistant clerk.

Joyce was retired from Tyson Foods. She married the love of her life Billy Chrisman May 9, 1958. She loved gardening, making jelly and helping Dad with his bees.

Joyce leaves behind to cherish her memory, one son, David Chrisman and wife Sheila of Danville, Arkansas and one daughter, Charolette Collins and husband Charles Jr. of Waldron, Arkansas. Granny Joyce will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Clint and Andrea House, Dylan and Larissa House, Chelsea and Blake Defoor, Whitney and Jason Mikles, Lacy & Tim Green, Amy & Jonathan Rodola, Katelyn and Jimmy Goldsborough, Billy Chrisman, Andera Ball and Tel Millard. She will also be missed by 20 great grandchildren. Joyce is also survived by her three brothers: her twin, Royce Owens and wife June, Ules Ray Owens and wife Pat and Roger Owens and wife Darlene. Joyce will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives she impacted including a host of extended family, friends, neighbors and loved ones.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Billy Chrisman, her parents, Ules and Willo Owens, father and mother in law, Henry and Lydia Chrisman and brother in laws, Eugene and Bob Chrisman.

Joyce's life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Union Hill Baptist Church in Union Hill, Arkansas with Rev. Zack Hale, Rev. Mark King, Rev. JA Hunnicutt and Rev. Tom Garrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Joyce's pallbearers will be Dylan House, Clint House, Billy Chrisman, Blake Defoor, Greg Owens and Michael Chrisman. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Mikles, Tim Green, Bobby Chrisman, Gary Chrisman, Billy Joe Hale, Jim Daggs, Johnny Mize, Tel Millard, Jonathan Rodola, Tom Wagner, Lowell Reece, Jimmy Goldsborough, Jimmy Evans, Tim Cox and Bruce Tallmadge.

Joyce's visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home where Joyce's family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
