Monty Ray Meredith

Monty Ray Meredith of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Egypt, Arkansas. Monty was born December 6, 1952 to Silas Montaing Meredith and Della Mae (Langston) Meredith in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Monty was 63 years, 7 months and 14 days old.

Monty was well known for helping those in need. He loved to ride his Harley. He also enjoyed fishing and being on his farm and driving his tractor. He looked forward to spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Monty leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, Eric Meredith and wife Sheri of Jefferson, Arkansas and one daughter, Montessa Nikki Elkins and husband David of White Hall, Arkansas . Pappy will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren: Paige Meredith, Colton Meredith, Tessa Elkins, Tre Elkins, Elizabeth Roberts, Corey Roberts and Shawn Roberts. Monty will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted, including a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.

Monty was preceded in death by his parents, Montaing and Della Meredith.

Monty's life celebration service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rickey Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Birdsview Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Monty's pallbearers will be David Doyel, Nathan Goodner, Wes Goodner, Allen Langston, Jeremy Slaten, Bubba Slaten, Dean Langston and Buddy Slaten. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Langston Jr., BJ Langston, Charles Goodner, Raymond Taff, Ray Langston, Mike Meredith, Troney Langston.

Monty's visitation will be Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Monty's family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The family would like to welcome friends and family to join in Monty's last ride with the motorcycle of your choice.

Monty's family will be receiving friends and visitors at 5584 Suncrest Road, Waldron, AR.
