Richard Clark McLain of Parks, Arkansas passed from this life, Sunday, February 22, 2015 at his home in Parks, Arkansas. Richard was born May 2, 1927 in Parks, Arkansas to the late John Herman McLain and Dorothy May (Davis) McLain. Richard was 87 years, 9 months and 20 days old. Richard was a member of Parks Baptist Church in Parks, Arkansas.

Richard was a retired millwright machinist in the steel industry. He was a 32° Mason and a member of the American Legion. Richard was also a Republican State Committeman and an Arkansas State Constable. Richard loved music, wood working, fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed going out west with friends on hunting trips.

Richard is survived by children/stepchildren whose names include: Donna Blount (and husband Ralph), Charles Collins (and wife Margaret) Karen Collins, Giovanna Laine, and Jay McLain, all of Texas or Arkansas, as well as many step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Richard is also survived by a sister, Joyce Lesley, and many nieces and nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Dorothea McLain, the love of his life, his wife Janelle (Raegan) McLain, three sisters, Dorothy Gilliam, Muriel Moore, and Claudia Morgan, one brother, John McLain, and one stepdaughter, Lana Collins.

Richard's life celebration will be held Friday, February 27, 2015 at 2:30 p.m., at the Parks Baptist Church in Parks, Arkansas with Rev. Billy Harwell officiating. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.

Richard's pallbearers will be Wallace Hill, Henry Bell Thompson, Jim Knighten, Jimmy Dean Lee, Ralph Blount and Danny Morran. Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Williams
Richard's visitation will be Friday, February 27, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
