Ruth L. Compton

Ruth Louise Compton of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born August 14, 1932 in Ward, Arkansas to Eugene Ray Warford and Minnie Rosetta (Pinnell) Warford. Ruth was 84 years and 2 days old.

Ruth was of the Baptist faith. She was a hard worker. She enjoyed singing and going to yard sales.

Ruth leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters: Gale Nix and husband Mike and Annette Nix and husband Terry (Tink) all of Bates, Arkansas. Nanny will forever remain in the hearts of seven grandchildren, numerous great grandchcildren and great great grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by four sisters: Jeannie Lane of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ruby Breeden of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Esta Westley of Beggs, Oklahoma and Virginia Ingram of Turley, Oklahoma and one brother, Paul Warford of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ruth will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives she impacted including a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Minnie Warford, one daughter, Judy Hancock, one son, Eugene Windom, one sister, Mary Hoobler and two brothers: Jerry Warford and Vernon Warford.

Ruth's graveside life celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Gipson Cemetery near Bates, Arkansas with Rev. Gary Powell officiating. Interment will follow.
Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Breeden and David Lane.

Ruth's visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Gipson Cemetery.
