Arnold Lee Shores

Arnold Lee Shores went to be with his Lord and Savior, April 9th, 2018 in Waldron, Arkansas, surrounded by loving family. Arnold was born July 4, 1939 to Laurie (Brown) Shores and William Shores in Harvey, AR. Arnold was 78 years, 9 months, and 5 days old. He was a member of the Waldron Pentecostal Church of God.

As a young man, Arnold married the love of his life, Gail, and together they led an adventurous life and marriage of 52 years. Arnold enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing but his greatest passion was sharing the stories of his adventures over a cup of coffee. Arnold lived for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. There was always a handful or more at home to love and care for.

Arnold is survived by his children: Randy Shores and wife Diane of Waldron, AR, Otis Matthew Shores of Waldron, AR, Brian Keith Shores of Waldron, AR, Wesley Dewayne Shores and wife Jennifer of Greenwood, AR, Darla Fay Shores of Waldron, AR, and Kristie Michelle Shores of Waldron, AR. Arnold’s memory will be cherished by his grandchildren: Katrina Shores and Myron Kirk, Amanda and Christopher Shores, Heather Shores, Cody Shores, Amber Shores, Farah Shores, Dustin Shores, Hannah Shores, Haylee Shores, Mercedes Shores, Jacob Shores, Trevor Shores, Amanda Shores, Caleb Shores, RayLan Morris Shores, Phillip Shores, Lacy Shores, Dawson Shores, Hayden Shores, Heaven McDaniel, Paige Shores, Noah Shores, as well as six great-grandchildren: Daven Smith, Tade Shores, Tate Shores, Zayden Shores, Shelby Kirk, and Ryan Kirk. Arnold will be missed by his sister Lorene (Shores) Hale and husband Jamie, and a Sister-in-Law Shirley Shores both of Waldron, AR. Arnold’s memory will be cherished by all that knew him and the many whose lives he touched including many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and loved ones.

Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, William Shores, Laurie Shores, and step father Sonny Shores, three sons Billy Ray Shores, Phillip Lee Shores, and Arnold Wayne Shores, and three brothers Buddy Shores, Junior Shores, and Raymond Shores.

Arnold’s life celebration will be at 2:00pm Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Pentecostal Church of God in Waldron, AR with Rev. Konner McKay officiating. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.

Arnold’s pallbearers will be Randy Shores, Otis Matthew Shores, Wesley Shores, Hayden Shores, Phillip Shores, and Myron Kirk. Honorary Pallbearers are Brian Shores, Cody Shores, and Dustin Shores.

Arnold’s visitation will be Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
