Betty Varricchio of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Thursday, April 12, 2018 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born March 20, 1939 in West Point, Georgia to Joe Hamby and Emma Lou Burgess.She was 79 years young.
Betty Little was a wonderfully passionate and compassionate woman. She loved to help those around her and take a journey through a good book. She loved her family, including those she picked up along the way. She loved her patients in the nursing homes that she worked with over the years. She would bring them stuffed animals and little gifts to let them know they were never alone. On her days off you could find her checking on her friends in the nursing home. She was a hard working, classy lady and she will be missed immeasurably.
Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory her bothers and sisters: David Hamby, Roger Hamby, Joan Castleberry, and Wendy Madison. Her daughters: Debra Hamlet and her husband William Hamlet, Kim Bates and her husband Brian Bates; sons: Phillip Varricchio and Joey Varricchio. Betty will forever be missed by her grandchildren: Jenny Davis, Michael Hamlet, Christopher Hamlet, Elizabeth Hamlet. Kristin Lawrence, David Lawrence, Pam Varricchio, Stephanie Symonevich , Joe Varricchio as well as great grandchildren: Emma and Charlie Davis, Emma Mancini, Anthony and Lucas Lawrence, and Rachael Hamlet. Special mentions of her fur and feathered children; Dittle, Chrissy, Matty, Riley, Jazzy and Gizmo.
Betty is preceded in death by Joseph G. Varricchio, parents; Emma Lou Burgess and Joe Hamby.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
