David Kris Williams

October 8, 1986 — January 13, 2018

David Kris Williams, of Harvey, was called home to his Lord and Savior Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, in Little Rock. Kris was born Oct. 8, 1986, in Mena to David and Carolyn (Defoor) Williams. Kris was 31 years, three months and five days old.

Kris was a loving husband to his wife of eight years, Amelia and an excellent role model and daddy to their two children, Raquelle and Zuhrina. Kris had a great love of the outdoors which started at a very young age. He enjoyed every moment that he got to embark on a new hunting adventure with his dad, David, his brothers-in-law and any friends who might want to accompany them. Kris' love for the outdoors didn't end with just hunting, he also like to hang out with the "Lake Gang" to go fishing and ride four wheelers with friends.

Kris was the definition of a hard worker. He always went above and beyond any task that was required of him. He took pride in the work he did and wanted to make sure it reflected the kind of man he was. Kris possessed so many admirable qualities that it is hard to fit them on a single piece of paper. He was loving; a kind of love that was so generous it enabled him to look past any flaws a person might have and to still find love for them. When he loved, he loved with his whole heart. Kris had a marvelous sense of humor that was witty and unexpected. He had the natural ability to put a smile on anyone's face. Kris was open and honest. He was a terrific friend who would literally give the shirt off his back to help someone out. His patience and kindness were immeasurable. He always had plenty to go around.

Kris always appreciated a good home cooked meal, especially when his mom, Carolyn, made his favorite – homemade chocolate pie. It was his favorite. Kris always had a special and tight-knit bond with his two sisters, Sue and Laura. They shared many laughs together and would be there for each other in the blink of an eye.

Some of Kris' fondest memories were on a football field when he proudly sported his #77 uniform for the Waldron Bulldogs during his high school days. The games he played with his brothers in orange and black were forever cherished.

A few of his favorite hobbies included taking care of his cows, hauling cows to Oklahoma City, working on restoring his grandpa's old 72 Chevy, spending time with his family and attending church. Kris was a devout Christian. His faith was unshakable. Kris stood firm on God's word and not only read the Bible, but lived the words that were written within it through his actions.

Kris was the prime example of a family man. His family came first. His girls and wife were his world. They always anxiously awaited when daddy would get home so they could "snuggle in the Big Man chair" with him, watch "The Cow" movie or "Pirate Fairy Princesses," or just get a big hug and a little kiss. He made their days ever brighter with his presence.

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delights in his ways." Psalm 37:23

Kris leaves behind to cherish his memory wife, Amelia (McCafferty) Williams of the home; two daughters, Raquelle Williams and Zuhrina Williams of the home; mother and father, Carolyn and David Williams of Harvey; and two sisters, Sue Cox and husband Adam of Waldron and Laura Kluthe and husband Jared of Parks. Kris is also survived by mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gena and Russell Mierding of Waldron; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cora and Ozzie Ozuna of Waldron; and one brother-in-law, Jeremiah McCafferty of Waldron. Kris will forever remain in the hearts of his nieces and nephews, Hannah Whitney, Hayden Brown, Levi Brown, Sydnee Cox, Emily Kluthe, Eli Kluthe, and Bryant Ozuna; and one great-nephew, Sawyer Whitney. Kris will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
