Louanna Smith

Louanna Smith of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, August 18, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Louanna was born July 25, 1942 in Waldron, Arkansas to Benjamin Dale Millard and Mildred Lorene (Low) Millard. Louanna was 75 years and 24 days old. She was a member of Freedom Freewill Baptist Church near Waldron, Arkansas.

Louanna worked for many years serving the community as a lab tech with Mercy. She touched many lives young and old. This was her passion. In 1983, Louanna married the love of her life, Max Smith. Together they lived and enjoyed life for 33 years. They loved each other and they loved family spending time together and making memories.

Louanna leaves behind to cherish her memory, four children: Saprina Yandell of Waldron, Arkansas, Rick Edwards and wife Michelle of Chester, Arkansas, Michael Smith and wife Tina of Mansfield, Arkansas, Jackie Smith of Mansfield, Arkansas. Mubbie will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Alishia Deramus and husband Waylon of Waldron, Arkansas, Kayla Cottrell and husband Stanley of Boles, Arkansas, Jared Smith and wife Laura of Huntington, Arkansas, Abby Morgan and husband Cameron of Van Buren, Arkansas, Taylor Smith of Mansfield, Arkansas and Kaitlin Miller of Parks. Mubbie leaves a legacy with her great grandchildren: McKena Deramus and Garron Deramus of Waldron, Arkansas, Maeleigh Cottrell and Hayes Cottrell of Boles, Arkansas, Everleigh Smith and Leighton Smith of Huntington, Arkansas and Aiden Forrest and Aubrey Cairns of Parks, Arkansas and one great great granddaughter, Adalynn Deramus of Waldron, Arkansas. Louanna is also survived by one sister, Ronella Amos of Clarksville, Arkansas. Louanna will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her, including a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, neighbors and loved ones dear to her.

Louanna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Max Smith, her parents, Benjamin and Mildred Millard, two daughters, Sarie Edwards and Sheila Riddle, two grandsons, Payton Lee and Sean Miller as well as one son in law Cleaston Riddle.

Louanna's life celebration will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Wally Beckman and Rev. Robert Presson officiating. Interment will follow in the Birdsview Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Isaiah 63:9 In all their affliction he was afflicted and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old. Just as she carried them, they shall carry her. Pallbearers will be her beloved children: Rick Edwards, Mike Smith, Jackie Smith, Jared Smith, Garron Deramus, Waylon Deramus, Stanley Cottrell, and Cameron Morgan.

Louanna's visitation will be Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home where Louanna's family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
