Allen Ray Dickens

March 9, 1954 — March 20, 2014

On March 20, 2014 Heaven opened its gates for a great man to walk through. Allen Ray Dickens was born March 9, 1954 to Raymond and Elgin May (Owens) Dickens in Mena, Arkansas.
Allen's family was the light of his life. The time he spent with them was most precious to him. Allen enjoyed being outside hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, and spending time with his family. Allen worked construction for over 30 years, he was the strongest, toughest hardest working man his family ever knew. He was a loving, caring husband, daddy, dad-n-law and papaw. He was the rock of his family, he made them feel they were always safe and protected. His family will never forget those warm embraces and kisses they couldn't wipe off. He was deeply loved and cherished by his family and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Allen leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 39 years, Beverly of the home. Two daughters, Amy Danielle Slater and husband Sam and Michelle Rae McCubbin and husband Bobby. Papaw will forever be missed by his grandbabies, Trenton Sanders of Fountain Lake, Arkansas, Adrianna, Samantha and Samuel Slater, Amie McCubbin, Marissa Dickens and Alecsy Stauffer all of Waldron, Arkansas. Allen is also survived by two brothers, Dean Dickens and Doyle Dickens.
