Ann Oliver of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life Thursday, April 1, 2010 in a Waldron nursing home. Ann was born June 29, 1925 in Las Vegas, New Mexico the daughter of the late Reverend John and Mrs. Myrtle Evans. She was a former treasurer of the City of Waldron, and retired from a secretarial career with ARVAC and several county judges. She was a member of the Haw Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth H. Oliver; her brother Leon, Leo and LaMoine Evans; and her sister Nada Currier. Ann is survived by two sons, Ken Oliver of Dallas, Texas, John Oliver of Germantwon Tennessee; a daughter, Marilyn Sitzes of Hope, Arkansas; two grandchildren, April Brown of San Antonio, Texas and John Sitzes of Hope, Arkansas; and her brother, John Evans of Waldron, Arkansas. Ann's funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Elmore, officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Pallbearers will be John J. Evans, Bill Evans, Ric Evans, Bud Sims, Mac Lee and Brent Keener. Visitation will be 12 noon to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, April, 4, 2010, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 and 8:00 a.m. to the funeral hour, Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Ann's family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. to the funeral Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Ann may be sent to the American Cancer Society Research Fund, 901 North University, Little Rock, Arkansas 72207.
