Buddy Ray Sims, 72, of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life Friday, July 16, 2010 in a Fayetteville, Arkansas hospital.
Buddy was born August 4, 1937 in Boles, Arkansas to the late Hub and Dovie (Watson) Sims. He was retired from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.
Buddy is survived by his three sons, Jimmy Ray Sims, Russell Sims, Mike Sims all of Boles, Arkansas; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Evelyn Blalock of Waldron, Arkansas, Catherine Pace of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Jean Barker of Boles, Arkansas, Betty Payne of Boles, Arkansas, Sue Watkins of Mena, Arkansas; and one brother Doug Sims of Boles, Arkansas
He was preceded in death by one brother, Omer Sims.
Buddy?s funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Boles Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Pat Ray Biggs and Rev. Mike Shaddon, officiating. Interment will follow in the Buffalo Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
Buddy?s pallbearers will be Jimmy Ray Sims, Doug Sims, Ronald L. Bruton, Clyde Payne, Josh Sims, and John Barker. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews and old friends.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron.
