Charles Allen Isham, 90, of Delaware, formerly of Waldron, died April 9, 2016, at the River Valley Hospice Home in Russellville. He was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Loco Okla., to Charles Ezra and Jessie Middleton Isham.
  
  
  He was a World War II Army Veteran, serving in the 243rd Engineer Combat Battalion, A Company, from 1944 until 1946. Following the war, he lived in Bakersfield, Calif., and worked for 20 years at Alex Robinson Brothers. He retired from ARB in 1971 and moved back to Arkansas with his family. He was a dedicated member of Faith Church in Dardanelle for 14 years, where he had served on the church board. A long-time resident of the River Valley area, he was a cherished friend to many locals who knew that he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed hunting on Mount Magazine, fishing, camping and spending time with family.
  
  
  He is survived by three brothers, Jack, Floyd and Jim Isham; three sisters Maxine Williams, Jean Powell and Paula Lacroix; four children, Freda Parish and Brenda Isham, both also of Delaware; Richard and Mary Isham of Fort Smith and Debbie Phillips of Claremore, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
  
  
  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Sanford Isham and sisters Betty Jo Isham and Kay Ammons.
  
  
  Charles' life celebration will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the New Life Center in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Jerry Isham officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
  
  
  Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
