Chester Lee Brothers of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Friday, April 18, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Chet was born August 28, 1958 in Kansas City, Kansas to R.L. Brothers and Peggy (Copeland) Brothers. Chet was 55 years, 7 months and 21 days old.

Chet's family moved to Arkansas when he was just 2 years old. Chet graduated Waldron High School in 1976. Chet served a short tenure in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Chanute Air Force Base and Lackland Air Force Base. Upon receiving his Machinist Certificate from Rich Mountain Vo-Tech, Chet moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas worked for Mic-ron Tool for seven years. He later returned to Waldron and worked at Tyson Foods for 13 years. After traveling the country as a sub-contractor rebuilding and painting playground equipment for McDonalds Corp Chet then began his employment at Waldron Public Schools as a custodian for 4 years. Chet thoroughly enjoyed working with his co-workers and the children at the school. Chet was a diversified person. He was an excellent guitar player. He loved country music and in his younger days, he enjoyed the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. When he had time he also enjoyed going fishing. For those who knew Chet well, he had a Sunday Thing of babysitting a pot of beans and making a pan of cornbread while watching the razorbacks no matter what sport it was. Chet was a "Die Hard" Razorback fan. Even though he had multiple hobbies and enjoyed them all, nothing compared to time spent with his family. Chet loved his mom and spending time with her. He enjoyed all his family and those times spent together were treasured memories.

Chet leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Peggy Buckles of Waldron, Arkansas, two brothers: Dwayne Brothers and wife Kathy of Moline, Illinois and Lanny Brothers and wife Theresa of Nashville, Arkansas. Chet is also survived by two nieces and four nephews that he loved very much and they loved him: Mandy Brothers, Lindsey Thomas, Taylor Brothers, Michael Henderson, Mark Henderson and Clayton Bush. Chet will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones.

Chet is preceded in death by his father, R.L. Brothers, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, and three uncles: Billy Wayne Brothers, Dalbert Copeland and Ted Copeland.
Chet's life celebration will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Bro. Mike Gallinato officiating. Interment will follow in the Parks Cemetery at Nola, in Nola Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Chet's pallbearers will be Donnie Brothers, Larry Putman, Waylon Jones, Dale "Bubba" Sparks, Lenny Bailey and Scott Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be the custodial department of the Waldron Public Schools.

Chet's visitation will be Monday, April 21, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home where Chet's family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
