Corrine ?Connie? Wood 81, of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life Saturday, January 9, 2010 in a Waldron hospital.
Connie was born June 28th, 1928 in Bakersfield, California. She lived in Bakersfield, California where she lived with her late husband and raised their children. In the Late 80?s after her husband passed away she moved to Dubois, WY where she had many friends and met Bill Francis, her wonderful loving companion of 21 years. She and Bill moved to Waldron, Arkansas in 1990 where they spent the last 21 years enjoying life together and enjoying the company of their many friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Dearden; brother, Herbert Brand, late husband Darwin Wood and a son Davey.
Connie is survived by her long time companion Bill Francis, and his daughters, Candi Francis and Debbie Francis; daughters; Melody Buzby of Pismo Beach, California, Connie Brandt of Dubois, Wyoming, Valarie Scott of Greenwood, Arkansas; son-in-laws, David Buzby, David Brandt, Mike Scott, grandchildren; Leslie Buzby, Lisa Mann, Patrick and Brandon Dorsey, Michael, Christa and Bobby Scott; great grandchildren; Tayler Buzby, Athena and Seth Mann and Madison Baxter.
Our beautiful and loving companion, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Connie?s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
Visitation will be 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
