Dorothy Mae Cox of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Thursday, March 13, 2014 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born November 14, 1934 in Peoria, Arizona to Jesse Wesley Pritt and Rachel Lee (Havins) Pritt. Dorothy was 79 years 3 months and 27 days old.

Dorothy was a cook in restaurant s for many years. Knowing her way around a kitchen was quite helpful and brought joy to Dorothy while she would spend time cooking for her family. Dorothy was passionate about her family. She enjoyed raising her children and then being actively involved with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The time she spent with each of them will be forever treasured memories.

Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory, nine children: Tommy Cox and wife Cheryl, Terry Cox and wife Shirley, Larry Cox and wife Sonya, James Cox, Gary Cox, Jerry Bob Cox, Bonnie Thompson and husband Terry, Ronnie Cox and wife Lisa and Donald Cox and wife Cindy. "Digger" will forever be missed and remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Tommy Cox and wife Lori, Maruice Cox & wife Christina, Jenniefer and husband Tom, Michael Cox, Christy Glaze, Chasity Akers, Carla Mitch and husbnd Maurice, Tiffany Cox, Larry Cox Jr., Charles Cox and wife Amber, Kayla Peighton and husband Jarrod, Cassandra Bushong, Hollie Hodge, Brianna Cox, Mandy Smith, Ronnie Cox and wife Kayla, Justin Cox and wife Kathy, Pamela Thompson, Ashley Dorr and husband Brett, Amanda Stafford and husband Shane, Erica Cox, Emily Spears, Stephanie Parish, Trista Richmond and husband Danny, Kaylene Hill, Mac Hill, Jerry Don Cox, Emily Stone, Kelly Nichols and Abbie Stone and great grandchildren: Tanner, Rusty, James, Sean Thomas, Michael, Shannon, Cleveland, Amy, Megan, Selena, Tyler, Haley, Trenton, Kortlynn, Tucker, Peighton, Ciera, Lily, Jasper, Caleb, Hannah, Bethany, Levi, Maegan, McKayla, Dominick, TJ, Keylee, Zoey, Bella and Bentley. Dorothy is also survived by three sisters, Betty Cox, Barbara Willcutt and Patty McDowell.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Joe Cox, her parents, Jesse and Rachel Pritt, one sister, Linda Wayrynen and five brothers, Richard Joiner, Ruben Joiner, William Joiner, James Joiner and Donald Joiner.

Dorothy's life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Diane Miller officiating. Interment will be Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery in Buckeye, Arizona. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Dorothy's visitation will be Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
