Eloise Lankford, 87, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed from this life Monday, February 21, 2011 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born Eloise Dozier on September 2, 1923 in Waldron Arkansas to Miles and Jeff Dozier. Eloise married Raymond Thomas Lankford on March 28, 1942. After several moves, Eloise and Raymond spent many years in Oklahoma City, where they were members of the Village United Methodist Church. Upon retiring they moved back to Waldron, Arkansas where they were members of the Waldron First United Methodist Church. They lived in Waldron until Raymond's death in 2007. Eloise spent her last years at Fox Ridge Retirement Village in Bryant, AR to be near her daughter, Maggie. She received loving care at Fox Ridge. Her final days were spent at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock. The compassionate staff is greatly appreciated by her family. Eloise is survived by one daughter, Maggie Hughes, and her husband Brad of Little Rock, AR; one son, George, and his wife Marty of Amarillo, TX; one sister, Sarah Kitchens of Russellville, AR; a sister-in-law Joann Dozier of Waldron, AR; four grandchildren, Scott Lankford and his wife Janet of Amarillo, TX, Chris Lankford and his wife Holly of Denver, CO, Lacy Shipp and her husband Andy of Houston, TX, Tessa Hughes of Little Rock, AR; seven great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Carly, Clay, and Jackson Lankford of Amarillo, TX, Rylie and Nolan Shipp of Houston, TX, and Christopher Ray Lankford of Denver, CO. Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Raymond, and her brother Knox Dozier. Eloise?s funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Waldron First United Methodist Church with Rev. Diane Miller, officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Her pallbearers will be Scott Lankford, Chris Lankford, Clay Lankford, Andy Shipp, Miles Dozier, Allen Dozier, and Reggie Owens Eloise?s visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 23 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home where her family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Family requests memorials be sent to Waldron United Methodist Church or Duncan Cemetery, c/o Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, P. O. Box 358, Waldron, Arkansas 72958.
