Flovel Jackson

Flovel Jackson of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Thursday, January 16, 2014 in Waldron, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Flovel was born October 14, 1925 in Scott County Arkansas to James Bass Yarbrough and Lone (Watson) Yarbrough. She was 88 years, 3 months and 2 days old. Flovel was a member of the Evening Shade Baptist Church.

A native of Scott County, Flovel lived most her life right here at home. She enjoyed sewing, quiliting and growing flowers. Flovel was a warm and kind person. She loved her family and welcomed each opportunity to spend time with them.

Flovel leaves behind to cherish her memory, one daughter, Charlotte Sheppard and husband William (Bill) of Waldron, Arkansas, one son/grandson, Michael Jackson and wife, Lisa of Lemoore, California and one grandson, Billy Sheppard and wife Pam of Bowling Green, Kentucky, one great granddaughter, Nikki Smith of Waldron, Arkansas and several great-great grandchildren. Flovel will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her including several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Flovel is preceded in death by her parents, Bass and Lone Yarbrough, her husband of 49 1/2 years, Billie Jackson, two sons, L.B. Jackson and Billy Don Jackson.

Flovel's life celebration will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Collins Lane officiating. Interment will follow in the Square Rock Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Flovel's pallbearers will be Mark Ward, Scott Clemmons, Collins A. Lane and Michael Jackson.

Flovel's visitation will be Monday, January 20, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
