Frankie Newton

Frankie L. Newton, 75, of Van Buren, Arkansas, peacefully entered into rest in our Lords arms on December 16, 2010. She was born in Norman, Oklahoma on April 15th, 1935 and lived most of her life in Arkansas. She was a retired office manager. Her hobbies included sewing and cooking. She loved roses , collected dishes/Glassware, helping friends and family in many ways. Frankie is survived by two daughters, Joyce Newberry Epperson and husband Dale of Rogers, Arkansas; Joni Newberry Carmack and husband Larry of Van Buren, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Amy Epperson Koogler of Rogers, Arkansas, Jamie Carmack of Van Buren, Arkansas, Barry Carmack of Van Buren, Arkansas, Vanessa Carmack of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, step-daughter, Cindy Jorden and husband Sammy of Greenwood, Arkansas; two step-sons, Albert Newton and wife, Jan of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Gary Newton and wife, Judy of Fort Smith, Arkansas; six step-grandchildren, Lanie Kennedy of Greenwood, Arkansas, Joshua Jordan of Greenwood, Penny Templeton of Van Buren, Hunter Newton of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, Jennifer Bateman of Virginia, Zachary Griffith of Greenwood, Arkansas; and five step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Nadine Lemarr Kopf and husband, James of Waldron, Arkansas, Maybelle Lemarr Bliss and husband Harold of Waldron, Arkansas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Frankie is preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Newton; parents, William Preston, and Martha (Jones) Lemarr; and a step-daughter, Debbie Griffith. Frankie?s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Grimes, officiating. Interment will follow in the Sehorn Cemetery in Winfield, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Frankie?s pallbearers will be Berry Carmack, Wayne Henry, Brad Koogler, Bryan Kopf, Wes Nelson and J. D. Newberry. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Bliss, Larry Carmack, Dale Epperson, Odis Lemarr, James Kopf, and Albert Newton. Frankie?s family request in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Peachtree Hospice at 2910 Jenny Lind #4, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901. Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday evening.
