Irene S. Scott, of Springdale, Arkansas, formerly of Boles, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in Springdale, Arkansas.
Irene was born June 30, 1936, in Williams, Oklahoma, to Joe Kubala and Helen Wilhite Kubala. Throughout her life, Irene was a woman of faith whose love for the Lord was reflected in the way she lived and cared for those around her. She loved attending church and found great comfort and joy in listening to gospel music.
Irene had a special place in her heart for children and animals. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved, and her caring and gentle nature made her a treasured presence in the lives of her family. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was simply Grandma, and the love she gave them will remain a cherished part of their lives forever.
Irene is survived by her two daughters, Judy Caldwell and Connie Palmer. Grandma will forever remain in the hearts of her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved and cherished dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Scott; her parents, Joe and Helen Kubala; and two sisters, Dorothy Nixon and Elene Prock.
Irene leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to family. While her family will deeply miss her presence, they find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace in her Heavenly home, reunited with those who went before her and resting in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Irene's family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and the faith that guided her at a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Dooley Cemetery in Boles, Arkansas. As they say their earthly goodbyes, they will give thanks for the love, kindness, and Christian example Irene shared throughout her life, finding comfort in the promise that she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.
