J. T. Howell, 73, of Waldron, Arkansas, early Tuesday, morning the 7th of December the angels led another weary cowboy home to be with the lord. J. T. who was born October 10th, 1937 in Dexter, New Mexico to Arvel and Pearl (Jetton) Howell, once again mounted up on his favorite horse but this time galloped up to the heavens. A fairly large part of J. T.?s life revolved around his horses, whether it be rodeo, parades or pleasure riding he lived life to the fullest until health forced him to hang up his spurs. J. T. worked for Tyson Foods for many years. J. T. is survived by his children Robin and Grady Helton, James and Judy Howell, David and July Howell, all of Waldron, and Krystal Dodge of London, Arkansas. He has eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Sharon Jean Howell and one daughter, Cynthia Lynn Howell. J. T.?s memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2010 at the New Life Center in Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Now each time we hear the thundering of horse hooves we will remember Dad in a happier time and place.
