Juanita Reed of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, March 29, 2014 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Juanita was born April 2, 1944 to George Blaine Johnson and Vera Esther (Hull) Johnson in Waldron, Arkansas. Juanita was 69 years, 11 months and 27 days old. Juanita was a member of the Fellowship Church of God in Mena, Arkansas. Juanita was a devoted Christian. She was true to her beliefs and loved reading the Bible and studying God's word.

Juanita married the love of her life JC "Jake" Reed in 1962. She worked for a while and then she had the opportunity to be a homemaker. She loved working in the yard whether it was flowers or the vegetable garden. Anytime of the year she could be found planting something. Juanita was always willing and ready to show anyone her newest plant or flower or the newest color she had. In fact, Juanita was serving as Treasurer of the Waldron Garden Club and was a member of Fort Smith African Violet Society. She enjoyed sewing, yard saleing, and visiting with friends and family. Juanita was known as a faithful and honest wife, mother, granny and friend. She would help anyone and had helped take care of other people who were in need. She was a loving and kind person.

Juanita leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband, JC "Jake" Reed of the home, two daughters: Dawn Colvin and husband Jimmy of Mansfield, Arkansas and Vera Owens and husband Kirk of Mansfield, Arkansas. Juanita will be also be missed by two sisters: Nancy Gilbert of South Carolina and Delores Kepner of South Carolina, and five brothers: Harold Johnson & wife Ronnah of Waldron, Arkansas, Alvin Bailey, Clyde Bailey, Joe Timmons and Ronny Timmons of South Carolina. Granny will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Josh Barnett, Kristen Oliver, Mikaela Colvin, Alyssa Colvin and James Colvin and one great grandchild, Keyton Oliver. Juanita will be missed by all that knew her and those whose lives were impacted by her including many nieces, nephews, and extended family of friends and loved ones.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, George and Vera Johnson, one sister, Sue Meyers, one son, George Blaine Reed and grandson, Johnathan McMillen.

Juanita's life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas. Interment will follow in the Sehorn Cemetery.
Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Juanita's pallbearers will be Brian Jones, Austin Jones, Kirk Owens, Jimmy Colvin, Robert Handley and Brody Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Wilmoth, Ronnie Nelson, Paul Holland, Harold Johnson and Josh Barnett.

Juanita's visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home where Juanita's family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
