Katherine "Kathy" Delane Frye

Kathy Frye of Waldron, Arkansas was called home to her heavenly father on Friday, November 1, 2013in Fort Smith. Kathy was 61years old.


Kathy was born in San Jose California to Gerald and Bonnie Lyles on June 10th 1952. Kathy visited Arkansas over 30 yrs ago and knew she was home, she was a 100% tried and true Arkansas country girl. Kathy spent many years seeing the country as a long haul truck driver before settling down to enjoy spending her days fishing with her dog Jackie and working on her garden. Kathy had an amazing green thumb when it came to growing just about anything especially zinnias.


Kathy is survived by her father and step mother Gerald and Jeannie Lyles of Waldron, her sister and brother in law Debby and Robert Millar of Jacksonville Ar , her son and daughter in law Jason and Tania Prophet of La Grange California, her daughter Katryna Prophet-Hunt of La Grange California, 5 grandchildren Haley, Hanna, Shane, Anthony and Austin, 2 nieces,1 nephew and several great nieces and nephews.


Kathy is preceded in death by her mother Bonnie Lyles, her brother Jerry Lyles and her husband Richard Frye.


Kathy's life celebration will be held on Tuesday November 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with a graveside service to follow at Ft. Smith National Cemetery at 2p.m. Kathy will be laid to rest next to her husband Richard.


Visitation will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home on Monday November 4th from 11 am to 9 p.m..


While we are mourning the loss of this most loved one, others are rejoicing to see her again. We are comforted by our belief and knowledge that she is watching over us from above.
