Lonnie Henderson

Lonnie Henderson, 71, of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in a Waldron nursing home. Lonnie was born September 25, 1938 in Waldron, Arkansas to the late Jimmie Henderson and Maurine (Helton) Henderson. Lonnie lived most of his life in Texas and California and is a Navy Veteran. He also owned and operated restaurants. In about 1998, he come to his mother?s home town of Waldron, Arkansas and made it his home, residing with his uncle, L. T. Helton. Lonnie is survived by one sister, Phyllis Hammond; three bothers, James Henderson, Ralph Hammond, Marshall Hammond; two aunts, Brunetta Richmond, Beatrice Norton; one uncle, John D. Helton; several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in addition to his parents by his wife. Lonnie?s funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 9, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Diane Miller, officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Waldron. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, July 8th, 2010 and 8:00 a.m. to the funeral hour, Friday, at the funeral home.
