Luther Wyatt Dyson of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Sunday, October 6, 2019 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Luther was born May 18, 1939 in Cement, Oklahoma to Nollie Dyson and Anna Mae (Jones) Dyson. Luther was 80 years old.
Luther was a proud Marine and a Korean War Veteran. He worked as an Electrical Instrumentation Specialist and Superintendant for USAID projects of Middle East Operations for over 18 years. He loved to garden, fish and being outdoors.
Luther leaves behind to cherish his memory, the love of his life for 30 years, Marilyn Dyson, a registered nurse,one daughter Elizabeth Dyson of Texas, one son Gary Dyson-Huffman of Arkansas, one sister, Cora Owens of Arkansas, and one brother Glen Dyson of Texas. Grandpa will forever remain in the hearts of his 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Luther will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones dear to his heart.
Luther's life celebration will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Waldron Pentecostal Church of God with Rev. Rickey Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery in Union Hill, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
Luther's pallbearers will be J.D. Minor, Jim Braith, Christopher Sullivan, Richard Owens, Gary Dyson-Huffman and Cody Minor.
Luther's visitation will be Friday, October 11, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
