Margaret Ann Rogers

Margaret Ann (Vaughn) Rogers of Waldron, Arkansas was born April 14, 1943 to Hewey Vaughn and Octa (Welch) Vaughn in Clarkrange, Tennessee. Margaret went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, June 13, 2026 in Waldron, Arkansas.

Margaret loved spending several hours a day in the early morning hours, reading and studying her Bible, and praying for all the needs on her prayer list. When a prayer was answered she was so excited to tell everyone. She had read the Bible completely through at least a dozen times. She was such a faithful servant.

Margaret also did word search puzzles every day and she liked to read 5 books at once. She would read a few chapters in one book, then move on to the next book. She could keep all the different stories straight, she said it kept her brain sharp.

She was a loving mother and grandma, Mema, great-grandmother and great Mimi. The different aged grands had different names for her. She was so loved. Her only dream and goal in life was to be a mother. She never held a job outside the home. She raised 5 children then she helped raise 3 grandchildren. She was happiest being with her family.

Margaret's 5 children have fond memories of her taking them to church every service and to every revival that was within an hour's drive. Church was their life, many times arriving back home near midnight. Margaret often shared stories and happy memories of growing up in her large family of 11. She was #7 in the line up of kinds and liked to tell of all the shenanigans they would get into. One thing was always clear, she had a very happy childhood and she loved her parents and siblings deeply.

Margaret is survived by 5 children all of Waldron, Arkansas: Angela (Doyle) Dickens, Sandy Shaddon, Rose Garrison, Donald Rogers Jr., and Marcia (James) Harvey. Three siblings: Lou Roberson of Elma, WA, Steve Vaughn of Elma, WA and Jack Vaughn (Jo) of Florence, AZ. She is also survived by grandchildren: Doyle Wayne (Karen) Dickens, Erik (Crystal) Jones, Lance (Tabatha) Jones, Nathan Shaddon, Clayton (Dawn) Shaddon, Trent (Kristal) Miller, Kendra Carter, Laci (Dakota) Edwards, Rusty Rogers, Scotty (Landon) Rogers, Nicole (DJ) Butler, Hunter Rogers, KatyAnn Margaret Rogers, Tyler (Edward) Harvey and Mikaila (James) Swindle. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Octa & Hewey Vaughn, her siblings: Effie, Betty, Etta, Doyce, and Judy, her baby boy Rusty Fain Rogers and her 2 best friends, Joann Harvey and Pixie Goins.

Margaret's private graveside celebration of life was held Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chant Cemetery in Y-City, Arkansas. Arrangements are beinig entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
