Marvin Wayne Hamilton, better known as Wayne, was born July 23, 1949, in Louisiana. He passed from this life on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in Parks, Arkansas, at the age of 77.
Wayne spent many years of his life in Louisiana, where he worked a variety of jobs and was never afraid of hard work. Among those jobs, he worked aboard tugboats traveling the Mississippi River and the Gulf, an experience that reflected his adventurous spirit and willingness to take on whatever work came his way.
Wayne had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and took special pride in growing watermelons. Hunting was his favorite pastime and something he enjoyed throughout his life. In his younger years, Wayne also had a passion for rodeo. He could ride bulls, rope, and break a horse, and he carried with him the toughness and independence of a true outdoorsman.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Claudie, of the home; his son, Marvin A. Hamilton of Parks, Arkansas; his daughter, Shelley Hamilton of Hawaii; a host of grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Franky, Janie, Sharon, and Becky, along with other family members and friends who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private memorial service will be hosted by the family at a later date.
