Mary Roberson

Mary Carolyn (Parker) Roberson, of the Little Texas community in Scott County, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life on September 9, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of home. Mary was born November 25, 1944, in Magnolia, Arkansas, to George Walton Parker and Letha June (Dunn) Parker.

Mary was the anchor of her family-the one they could always depend on, the heart that held everyone together, and the person who so often placed the needs of those she loved before her own. Caring for her family was not simply something Mary did; it was truly her life's greatest work. Her home was a safe and welcoming place where children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends knew they would find a patient listener, words of wisdom, a little humor when it was needed most, and, above all, unconditional love.

Known for her caring heart and wonderful sense of humor, Mary had a warm, outgoing personality that naturally drew people to her. She possessed a curious spirit, enjoyed visiting with others, and had a way of making people feel comfortable and important. Throughout her life, she touched countless lives with her kindness, laughter, and genuine interest in those around her.

Mary's greatest happiness could be found in the everyday moments of family life. She celebrated the accomplishments and milestones of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as though each one were her own. Whether the occasion was large or small, if it mattered to someone she loved, it mattered to Mary. Her family was her pride, her joy, and the center of her world.

For more than 40 years, Mary worked at Tyson Foods, where she served as a trainer. Her many years of dedicated service reflected the same patience, dependability, and willingness to help others that she carried throughout every part of her life. After retirement, Mary enjoyed the simpler things she loved most-working in her garden, cooking for those she cared about, and spending precious time surrounded by family.

Mary shared more than 41 years of marriage with the love of her life, Tommy Roberson. Together they built a life filled with devotion, companionship, memories, and a love that remained steadfast through the years.

Her faith was also an important part of her life. Mary attended Mulberry Freewill Baptist Church in Gravelly, Arkansas, as well as the Waldron Pentecostal Church of God. Her faith gave her strength throughout her life and became especially meaningful during her final days.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Tommy Roberson; her children, Betty (Rick) Hunt, Lisa Brown, Ricky Mahurin, Billy Roberson, and Dusty Roberson; her sister, Reba (Danny) Radar; and her sister-in-law, Vicki Roberson.

Granny will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren, Jessie Godfrey, Billy Reed, Kixx Brown, Audra Blanton, Kamara Brown, Mackinzie Roberson and Ashley Roberson, as well as her numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom brought tremendous joy to her life. Mary also leaves behind extended family members, dear friends, and countless others whose lives were made better simply because she was part of them.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, George and Letha Parker; her brother, Jerry Parker; her beloved uncle, Jim Dunn, who was like a father to her; and her niece, Sara Radar.

Even as she faced the challenges at the end of her earthly life, Mary remained true to the woman her family had always known. Never wanting those she loved to worry about her, she met those days with faith, courage, serenity, and dignity. Her steady spirit continued to guide and comfort her family, just as it had throughout her life.

Mary's Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Hattabaugh, Rev. Rickey Hunt, and Rev. Konnor McKay officiating.

Those honored to be pallbearers will be Gary House, Dewayne Russell, Randy Shores, Billy Reed, Ricky Mahurin, Jimmy Maxwell and Laramie Thompson.

Interment will follow in the Parks Cemetery in Nola, Arkansas with Rev. David Williams officiating.

Mary leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured simply in years, but in the generations she loved, the home she made warm and welcoming, the laughter she shared, and the countless lives she touched. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love, wisdom, and strength she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
