Mary Lou Staggs

After a long illness, Mary Lou (Warrington) Staggs passed away on November 17, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Mary was born July 7, 1945 to Arthur Richard Warrington and May Dean New in Waldron, Arkansas. Mary was 68 years, 4 months and 10 days old. She was a member of Russellville Church of God.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and sister. Mom loved to read, sew, arrange flowers, travel, and shop for children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. All those who were blessed to know her will miss all the care and concern that she showed her fellow man.

She is survived by three sons and one daughter: Eddie and Debbie Staggs of Bates, Arkansas; Stewart and Susan Staggs of Waldron, Arkansas; Clay and Jamie Staggs of Staunton, Illinois; and Gina and Rick Mars of Russellville, two brothers and their wives: Richard and Doris Warrington of Cove, Arkansas; and Thomas and Janice Warrington of Florida; one brother in law and two sisters in law: Willis Staggs and Betty Wiles of Mena, and Wanda Cole of Fort Smith. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Staggs, Sr; her parents Arthur and May Dean Warrington; and by her baby brother Winston Warrington.

Mary's life celebration will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas with Ken Tate officiating. Interment will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Beauchamp, Arkansas.

Mary's pallbearers will be Zachary Bowie, Alex Bowie, Seth Bowie, Eli Bowie, Jake Bowles, and Ryan Mars. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Long, Dylan Staggs, Tristian Long, Jacob Staggs, and Mikey Duncan.

Mary's visitation will be Friday, November 22, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.
