Olgia "Nadine" Lemarr Kopf, 89, of Scott County, Arkansas, entered into the arms of her Savior on Sunday, April 19, 2026, in Waldron, Arkansas, leaving behind a life that was full of love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
Born on December 4, 1936, in Scott County, Arkansas, to William Preston and Martha Dell (Jones) Lemarr, Nadine was the kind of woman who could work hard, tell the truth, and still find a way to make everyone laugh before the day was done. Even in her last days, she was ornery to the nursing staff-sticking out her tongue at them and telling jokes. One nurse asked how she was feeling, and she replied, "with her fingers."
She met and married the love of her life, James Matthew Kopf, and they shared 63 years of marriage together. From that union came three children: Debbie, Stephanie, and Bryan. Nadine shared that they had only one true argument in all their years of marriage, a testament to the deep love and strength of their relationship, especially during the time they worked hand in hand in their early life together.
Nadine spent her life serving others in many roles, including homemaker, dairy farmer, and florist, where she owned and operated Ebie's and Flowers by Nadine. That combination alone tells you that she was no stranger to early mornings, hard work, and doing whatever needed to be done. She handled life with strong hands, a sharp mind, and a sense of humor that could sneak up on you when you least expected it.
As a devout Christian, Nadine lived with faith at the center of her days. She loved listening to gospel music, including The Gaithers, Alan Jackson's gospel music, and her daughter Stephanie Pinion's gospel album. When she wasn't able to attend church, you could be sure she found a preacher on TV. She was a faithful member of Winfield Baptist Church.
She was well known for her cooking, especially her homemade bread, cheeseburgers, donuts, and dressing-meals that brought family together time and time again. Her granddaughter, April, learned the hard way, when Nadine was teaching her how to make her famous dressing, that you don't stir the dressing too much (because it will make it gummy). Nadine threatened to smack her with her spoon when she tried to stir it too much.
A running joke between Nadine and her granddaughter Kelsie was that Granny had spanked her once, when in reality she had just been given a little swat on the leg. Even in her final days, Kelsie asked her if she recalled when she had spanked her, and Nadine replied, "I did not!"
Nadine leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister, Mary Belle Bliss (Harold), her sister-in-law Eileen Bell (Gary), her daughter, Debbie Nelson; her son, Bryan Kopf (Sharri); and her five grandchildren: Wesley Nelson (April), Rachel Nelson (Moses), Kelsie Parks (Jake), Brandi Shelton (Michael), and Kristi Franklin (Neil). She also leaves behind 14 great-grandchildren with one on the way, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; four nieces; and two nephews, a lifelong friend Sue Bottoms, along with a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kopf; her daughter, Stephanie Pinion; her parents, William and Martha Lemarr; her sister, Frankie Newton, her son-in-law, Ronnie Nelson and her nephew John Paul Hunt.
Nadine's pallbearers will be Wesley Nelson, Easton Nelson, Dan Ridenhour, Brad Evans, JD Newberry and Brent Riddle.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 4-7 pm at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas.
Nadine's Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, 10 am at Winfield Baptist Church in Winfield, Arkansas with Rev. William Crelia and Rev. David Young officiating.
