Sheresa Lynn Cash

Sheresa Lynn (Benton) Cash of Fort Smith, Arkansas, formerly of Waldron, Arkansas, passed from this life, Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Sheresa was born October 11, 1976 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to George F. Benton and Darleen Kaye (Gray) Benton.

In high school Sheresa was a cheerleader. She graduated from Waldron High School in 1995. She joined the United States Navy in December of 1998. Sheresa was an active member of the Navy co-ed softball league. While in the military Sheresa was dedicated to the Military Code of Conduct and proud to serve with lifelong military brothers and sisters. She served her country until 2008 when she medically retired as a 2nd Class Petty Officer. Sheresa's children were her pride and joy. She was devoted to her two children, her family and her friends. Sheresa was an avid Razorback fan. In her downtime, she enjoyed reading, writing, music and philosophy. Sheresa was most known for her beautiful smile, loving and kind spirit, generosity and loyalty.

Sheresa is survived by her husband, Curt Cash of the home, her parents, George and Darleen Benton, two children, Kelsey Lynn Benton and Nicholas Grant Cummins, one brother, J.W. Scott Benton of Fayetteville, Arkansas, maternal grandmother Wanda M. (Newberry) Gray of Waldron, Arkansas and paternal grandparents, James and Dixie Benton of West Liberty, Kentucky. Sheresa will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives were impacted by her including cousins, aunts, uncles, a large extended family, friends and loved ones.

Sheresa is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, J.W. Gray Jr. and one cousin Jase Keaton Daggs.

Sheresa's life celebration will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Pat Ray Biggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove #3 Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Sheresa's pallbearers will be Dennis Gray, Eric Edgar, Richard Maxell, J.C. Cash, Cole Cash and R.A. Paul.

Sheresa's visitation will be Sunday, December 29, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Sheresa's family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
