Vida (Jameson) Hoffman 92, of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life Friday, February 12, 2010 in a Waldron hospital.
Vida was born February 7, 1918 in Parks, Arkansas. She was one of fourteen children born to the late James F. and Fannie (Carter) Jameson with ten of her siblings living to adulthood. She was a homemaker.
Vida is survived by three children, Johnny Hoffman and his wife, Frankilene (Arnette) of Weatherford, Texas, Mary (Hoffman) George and her husband, Flint George of Flower Mound, Texas, Cecelia (Hoffman) Preston and her husband Kenneth Preston of Parks, Arkansas; three sisters, Victoria ?Vick? Porter, Edna Watson, Joanna Rhyne; two granddaughters, Teresa George, Karen (Preston) Schnitker and her husband, Clifford Schnitker; four grandsons, Barry Preston, Danny Preston, Kevin George, Ricky George and his wife, Rebecca (Gibson) George; six great-granddaughters; six great-grandsons; two great-great-granddaughters; three great-great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, David Verl Hoffman; eight sisters, Faye Irene, Flora Mae, Clara Mae, Missy Daphine, LaVona Bronk, Katherene Murray, Lorene Pettit, Katherlene Morrison; two brothers, James ?Buster? Jameson, John Simeon Jameson; and one granddaughter, Vida Sue Hoffman.
Vida?s funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pat Ray Biggs, officiating. Interment will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin George, Ricky George, Travis Cearley, Barry Preston, Danny Preston, Blair Green, Clifford Schnitker, Jared Kluthe, Alan George, Keith George, Craig George and Matthew Hancock.
Visitation will be 12 noon to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2010 and 8:00 a.m. to the funeral hour Monday, February 15, 2010 at the funeral home.
Vida?s family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the funeral home.
