Yvonne Carlson Rachels , 84, of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life Friday, December 18, 2009 in a Waldron hospital.
Mrs. Rachels was born October 17, 1925 in Turlock, California, to the late Robert and Esther Carlson. She was the seventh of nine children. She moved to Waldron in 1971 from Fremont, CA. She volunteered as a poll worker and was active in the Republican Party.
She was the beloved wife of the late Bill Rachels, dear mother of Daniel Malone and wife Mary Jo and Jan Rachels, grandmother to five grand children and 5 great-grand children, sister of Geneva Carlson Moon, aged 97, and cherished friend to many.
A memorial service for Mrs. Rachels will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
