Carl Wagner of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, September 9, 2021 in Waldron, Arkansas with his loving family by his side. Carl was born February 13, 1935 in Dutch Creek, Arkansas to Walter Wagner and Trulie (Sparks) Wagner.

He was a longtime member of Friendship Pentecostal Church of God and was a Deacon for many years. He was a devout Christian man who loved the Lord with his whole heart and served whenever called upon. Carl loved animals, hunting and fishing. But his favorite pastime was being surrounded by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed their laughter, smiles and especially their hugs. Such hard working hands. Hands that went above and beyond to take care and provide for his family. But hands that were tender and kind and loving for his family.

Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children: Jimmy Wagner, Tina Phillips and husband Dale, and Tammy Self and husband Rev. James Self all of Waldron, Arkansas. Papa will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren: Nathan Wagner (Jacquelyn), Gail Velazquez (Edgar), Christina Tabor (Travis), Philip Self (Cindy), and Jastin Smith (Ashley) as well as 15 great grandchildren. Carl will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including a host of extended family, friends and church family he held dear to his heart.

Carl was preceded in death by his adoring wife of 66 years, Coleen, his parents Walter and Trulie Wagner, one son, Jerry Wagner, one granddaughter, Terry Smith, one grandson, Justin Wagner and siblings: Ledora Martindale, Verdell Wagner and Archie Wagner.

Carl's graveside life celebration will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Lamb Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Donnie Wagner and Rev. James Self officiating. Interment will follow. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Carl's pallbearers will be Jastin Smith, Nathan Wgner, Philip Self, Travis Tabor, Virgil Tabor and Edgar Velazquez.

Carl's visitation will be Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas.
