Mary Frances Creek

February 10, 1951 — June 21, 2022

Mary F. (Bloom) Creek, of Greenwood, Arkansas, formerly of Waldron, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas with loved ones by her side. Mary was born February 10, 1951 in Kansas City, Missouri to William N. Bloom and Pearl I. (Elliott) Bloom. She was 71 years old.

Mary was the youngest of eight children. She was also the only one that graduated high school and then graduated college. Mary first became interested in nursing when she was 16 and took classes in occupation nursing. From then on she wanted to go to college to become a nurse. She wasn't able to do so until her children were pretty well grown and she was chosen by a program for a scholarship that helped with the cost. She was happy and felt blessed for that. Graduation day was one of her proudest moments. The best part was all her children being able to attend and share with her. Mary loved being a nurse, loved caring for people, loved all the people she had the honor of working with and learning from.

As much as Mary loved being a nurse, it was nowhere near the love, pride and joy she had for her 4 children. She had wonderful memories with lots of love, lots of laughter and as with every other home with 5 people in it, there were some fusses also, but they always got over it. They shared their lives with each other, marriages, having babies, divorces, sickness and all the good along with the bad.

Mary's greatest happiness and accomplishment in life was seeing her kids grow into productive, kind, loving, respectful and hardworking adults. Best of all was seeing the kind of parents they all became. Mary was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren that she adored. They all had a special place in her heart and she could see how fortunate they are to have such good parents to guide them through life.
These children were the light of Mary's life. She enjoyed having a bunch of them together at any time. Laughing with them and laughing at them, sometimes even crying with them but through it all Mary has loved each one with all her heart.

Mary really enjoyed watching all the animals from her door and especially the humming birds.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children: Jason McIntyre of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Wyatt McIntyre and wife Tammy, Jamie Woods and husband Clay all of Greenwood, Arkansas, Adam Creek and wife Christie of Paris, Arkansas. Nana will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren: Grant Plummer, Alyssa Crase, Shelby McIntyre, Jenna McIntyre, Tyler Walker, Tara Walker, Justin Staggs, Taylor Donaldson, Trey Woods, Ashley Creek, Chloe Fulton, Stevie Leigh, Drew Creek and Brooke Creek as well as 3 great grandchildren: Addie Staggs, Veronica Donaldson and Avaleigh Creek. Mary will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives she impacted including a dear friend Steven Creek she adored, a host of extended family and friends she loved dearly.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Pearl Bloom and her siblings: Ruby "Bunny" Conwell, Phillip Bloom, Phyllis Rousch, Leonard Bloom, Nancy Duncan, Tommy Bloom, Wilda, "Sissy" Dawson.

Mary's life celebration will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Chaplain Michael Godbold officiating. Interment will follow in the Pilot Prairie Cemetery near Waldron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Mary's pallbearers will be Justin Staggs, Drew Creek, Tyler Walker, Trey Woods, William Bloom and Michael Donaldson.

Mary's visitation will be Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas.
