Robert Lee McGaugh

Robert Lee McGaugh, better known as Bob, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, July 30, 2022 in Waldron, Arkansas. Bob was born September 11, 1937 in Waldron, Arkansas to Earl McGaugh and Mildred (Sherrill) McGaugh. He was 84 years  old.

Bob married the love of his life, Marta in April of 1966. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years which included two tours to Vietnam earning nuemrous medals. AFter retiring from the Navy, the family made their lifelong home in Waldron.  Here then Bob worked at Tyson Foods for the next 20 years until his retirement in 2003. Bob was a longtime member of the Waldron United Methodist Church. He loved to sing and was actively involved in as many activities as he could be helping at the church. Bob was a kind and gentle soul who loved to have fun. He enjoyed fishing with his son and together as a family they loved watching sports especially the Dallas Cowboys and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 56 years, Marta McGaugh of the home and one brother Harvey of Oklahoma. Bob will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including an extended family of friends and loved ones.

Bob was preceded in death by his son Robert Gene McGaugh, his parents, Earl and Mildred McGaugh and his siblings.

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements and cremation are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
